Herbs are indicative of a man of sorrow.
A man said to Ibn Sireen: I dreamt that I saw green herbs growing in the house of ‘Aa’ishah (May Allah be please with her) and the people were looking at them in amazement, then ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Marwaan came and uprooted them. He said: If your dream is true, then al-Hajjaaj is going to divorceAsma’ bint Ja’far ibn Abi Taalib on the orders of ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Marwaan, and that is what happened, because he was afraid that he would be inclined towards Ahl al-Bayt because of her, so he insisted that he should divorce her.
